The criteria for judging was not only the art, but the way in which the interpretation was communicated. The judges were very impressed by some of the paintings and have given comments for all entries, which have been written behind the paper used.

All the entries will be displayed in an enhibition at the lower foyer till Monday. Participants are welcome to view it, and collect their entry later in the week.

We hope you had as much fun painting as we had in seeing your interpretations!

Paper Presentation

· Theme: Contemporary World Literatures

· Papers can be presented by individuals or teams of upto 3 members

· Participants are welcome to supplement their written paper with a powerpoint(or other) presentation

· Any form of plagiarism or copyright violation will qualify immediate elimination

· Length of paper not to exceed 8+2 minutes

· Synopsis/concept notes to be submitted by 12^th November at litmus2007@gmail.com

· The judges’ decision is final.

· No limit on number of papers per college

Participants to please carry two copies of their paper; the English Department will retain one copy for their archives.

Prizes in the form of book coupons worth:

First: Rs. 2000

Second: Rs. 1500

Third: Rs. 1000

· Basic rules: No hesitation. No deviation

· Participants to be divided into groups of up to eight members (according to the total number of participants)

· A trial round will be held before the commencement of the event

· Competition consists of rounds of 1 minute each. The winners of each round will qualify for the next round, and so on

· It is a fun event and needs absolutely no preparation

· No limit on the number of participants per college

Prizes (in book coupons):

IInd Prize: Rs.500
